Visual History of the Baseball Cap

As you may have seen in a previous post, I love hats. I love them so much that I made a short video of some of my hats for a school project a couple of years ago. My Hat Video I love small brim hats.

RuckSack

Four years ago I met a beautiful young fashion designer and we collaborated on designing a bag. Im sorry to disappoint you but this isn’t it. But seeing this bag reminds me that I still have unfinished business. Luckily, almost 4 years later this amazing designer is back in my life, so lets see if our bag design ever comes to fruition ( it will!)

side note: I spent so many years in college you would think I would never wanna see a book bag ever again. But I love em.

Zune Logo

Recently, while looking through a logo book I found the process of how the ZUNE logo was created. It was very interesting because I create logos for a living along with other design and branding. This morning I saw this wood stool and immediately thought of the ZUNE logo. Although I’ve seen the process of the logo, it reminds me of the debate ” does art imitate life or does life imitate art?”

Basquiat

A few weeks ago, I was chillin at my friends house and we watched the documentary on Jean-Michelle Basquiat, it changed my view on art again. Since then, I think i’ve watched it 4 more times. I have taken so many art history classes and seen his work before but never really understood until I watched the documentary. I saw this book for sale this morning and I must join my collection. If you haven’t seen his documentary, you should check it out on Netflix (instant)

Nice Fit

Living in a loft apartment with two roommates and having tall ceilings means we have to take advantage of the vertical space and we are limited with ground space. I wish all my stuff fit into these beautiful blocks. As a designer I find myself always trying to find order in chaos. This is a great example of that order, however, this is not my stuff.

Its been a while

My bad, I have neglected my blog for a hot minute. So much has happened since the last time i’ve blogged.

Happy New Year, Merry x-mas, and Happy birthday to me.

My blog was originally created to display my designs but it has evolved into a diary of sorts, so im not gonna fight it anymore.

I guess I will have to make another blog dedicated to my art.

Now thats innovative

It was only a few years ago when I was obsessed with my orange suede Pumas. I was happy to come across this innovative way to package sneakers using less material and re-usable materials. Brilliant idea, I wish I thought of it!
